COLOUR: Yellow (bright)
DESCRIPTION: The solar plexus is connected to your personal power: willpower, optimism, confidence, strong motivation, self-control, sense of humour and the ability to take action. The balanced Solar Plexus helps you become a strong leader.
LOCATION: located at the diaphragm, right below where the ribs meet.
CRYSTALS: that are yellow such as sunstone, yellow calcite, and carnelian are great for the solar plexus chakra. Smokey quartz can help as well.
BODY LINKS: digestive system, your small intestine, and your pancreas. The energy blocks in the solar plexus chakra may show as symptoms of diabetes, ulcers, constipation, and addictions.
FOODS: Eating yellow foods such as bananas, oats, garbanzo beans, yellow squash, yellow peppers and starfruit, can help to balance your solar plexus chakra.
HERBS: turmeric, fennel, and milk thistle can help balance this chakra. Again, lets think yellow.
YOGA EXERCISES: core stabilizing poses such as chaturanga, upward facing dog, wheel pose and camel pose help with this chakra energy. Twists are also good.
DANCE can also help with balancing and is a fun way to get moving. Body movements help balance the chakras.
